Why Peacock Pen Press Exists
Peacock Pen Press began quietly, as many meaningful things do—not as a business plan, but as a response to curiosity.
What started as a few small projects for family use quickly took on a life of its own. One idea led naturally to the next. Questions sparked experiments, which opened doors to possibilities that hadn’t been part of the original plan. Notes were captured so ideas wouldn’t be lost, and projects were returned to when the time felt right. Progress didn’t move in straight lines, but it did move forward.
At its heart, Peacock Pen Press is built around curiosity—the kind that asks what if? and follows the answer long enough to see where it leads. Some ideas settled quickly into finished form. Others evolved through detours, pauses, and returns. Not everything fit neatly into a single category, and over time that became part of the press’s identity rather than a problem to solve.
Peacock Pen Press brings these pieces together in one place: the finished work and the thinking that shaped it. The reflections here look back on how ideas evolved and what became clearer in hindsight. The publications mark where those paths eventually settled.
